Overview
About Me
Hi, pals! I live in a Nanto, home to the Gokayama Gassho Zukuri Village of Ainokura. Go to this place and you’ll instantly travel back in time to the Edo period. My town is also where the best artisan wood sculptors in Japan live. Walk along the streets in Inami and you’ll see them in action. I’d love to tour you around!
Ikigai is the Japanese term for sense of being, and my ikigai is arts and crafts. I try to sprinkle everything with creativity, from food preparation to hacks that make life more fun!
I am a self-proclaimed life hack ninja, and I’ll be happy to share my very own way of the ninja with you. Looking forward to doing a kampai with you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and making connections to people. I am an introvert but I value the moments that I get to speak with people about random stuff - from sensible life lessons to silly kickass pranks.
Also, accommodations are freaking expensive and this is my way of paying forward to the community.

Music, Movies, and Books
My anthem is Shawn Mendez’s There’s Nothing Holding me Back.
I have watched Bolywood’s 3 Idiots more than ten times. All iz well indeed!
And I feel connected with the author of Summer Ball, Mike Lupica.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Won a global photography contest without owning a gadget. Borrowed my colleague’s old smartphone and took a photo of a child using recyclable cardboard as a school supply. The magic clicked and my photo got published!
Teach, Learn, Share
My father is the best cook in the village. I’m not as good as him, but hey, I learned from the master so I must be good! Haha. Let’s cook Filipino food together!
I also do Arnis, a traditional Filipino martial arts that uses 2 wooden sticks as weapons.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be your cook, photographer, rant listener, drinking buddy, dance partner and confidante. As long as you’re open to anything as long as no one get’s hurt or degraded, we’ll click for sure and I’d be happy to try crazy fun things!
