Music, Movies, and Books

Music: trance, alternative rock, indie, 90s gangsta rap, bluegrass

Favorite sci-fi books include Pandora's Star by Peter F Hamilton, and Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. Enormous space operas are the best! I'm also a fan of Dune, Ender's Game, and anything by John Scalzi or Stephen Baxter.

Some non-fiction authors I like are Nassim Taleb, Ray Kurweil, and Michael Lewis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chasing a shark "glowing" in water lit up by microorganisms in a bioilluminescent bay at night by kayak. I still have all of my limbs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories, crazy (or very sane?) theories about the universe, and a good listening ear.
