ABOUT ME

Hey, dear Couch surfers!!! We are TUN and LUKA. This is our life story in 5mins, We are a couple, since we met each other in Melbourne, Australia, we could not leave each other, we are partners in life! after Tun and the Donker collective (his artist group) moved into an artist warehouse that Luka was already living in, we fell in love and had an amazing 6 months together in that warehouse with many people, art, parties, creation, then we left Australia together, to 6 defining months in India, returned for 3 months of couch-crashing, hitchhiking, tent on the beach in the storm in Australia, by then a welcome 3 months rest in Luka's home town Queenstown NZ, before the chaos started again in June 2013, where we left to Tokyo for 2 weeks before an epic tour of Europe landing in London, road tripping to Amsterdam, then flying to Hungary to make art project at 2 major psychedelic festivals (S.U.N. and Ozora), then we hitchhiked allll the way back to Holland (60 hours, 11 rides...), where we finally settled down to more festivals, studio time and working on live painting at parties and other random projects, in Tun's hometown Leiden and Amsterdam.

Now we have come to Portugal to spend some time with Tun's mother who is living in the countryside in a beautiful isolated spot near Odemeira.

we both travel for so long now that we feel like World Citizens! hahah...

We make art because we can't live without it.
We paint how we feel that moment so we do'nt have one style you can see from our paintings how we feel.
We paint together but also work individual.
we are not only painters we do more different art. forms.

We like CS so mutch, it is very good for this world and it makes people come together , understand more about each other and get to learn a lot of people.

Interests

Art for art is life and life is an art, and art is the ultimate goal! art is creation, simply. not just drawing and painting, which we are most practiced at, but we enjoy to build things, experiment with new forms.. we both like yoga, walking, eating good food, drinking good wine, dancing and enjoying music especially in festivals, Travelling is not so much an interest but our way of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

we enjoy all kinds of music, electronic dance music (psychedelic trance, dub, ambient, and techno, jungle) ... poet rock like Jim Morrison and the Doors, Patti Smith... things from 60s 70s are niiice, love tool they in a league of their own... and also love classical, world music, sitar sounds... many many things, music is the language of the soul vibrations...

Books, Non-fiction books about artists, history, cultures, nature... i used to enjoy reading fiction a lot, but lately, i like to read about our world, as we go on our world nomad life journey, of course there naturally emerges thoughts about spiritual/esoteric concepts, the nature of consciousness, I like to read lately books which can articulate about these very important concepts... i'm not so good at articulating myself so really enjoy to read things that i already feel but cant express...

Movies, well I enjoyed many in my life but never need to remember them. the only constant things we like to watch is BBC earth and things like this. Yayyyy nature!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...too many, just too many, life is an endless amazement after another. Luka has been travelling since she was 19years old (25 now) and Tun frequently as well since he was 21... so many wonderful moments, but now there are new moments to be had!
