About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am NOT having a midlife crisis, I have always been in a midlife crisis! I am riding my BMW Adventure motorcycle from the U.S. to Argentina. This is not a race, it's an adventure with no agenda.

ABOUT ME

To All of my Family and Friends:

Recently I have decided to pull the trigger on a concept, an idea, an adventure I have been wanting to do for many years. So now is the time to mount my BMW Adventure Motorcycle and ride from Santa Barbara (my home) to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina....the tip of South America! My trip will begin Tuesday October 23rd. But this is not just an ordinary motorcycle trip. I started writing an unpublished blog called...Not Broke, Not Even Broken;
A blog about....Life! If you are between age 45-whatever and you thought the financial chips would fall in a different, more lucrative way, then you just might this enriching, refreshing and inspiring! This is not just another mid-life crises story. My friends tell me I have always been in a mid-life crises.

I was inspired to write this blog and tie it into this adventure motorcycle trip after poring my heart and soul into my restaurants for many years, but only to find myself having to close the doors. Many people have found themselves in a different position than they had originally outlined, because of the world-wide financial crises we seem to be in. This situation has given me the opportunity and inspiration to reinvent, renew and re create my life and my future.

Let me introduce to you my newly published blog, as of today. This blog speaks to continual change...change is good, renewal is good, inspiration is good and reinventing is good. All of this "change" creates clarity and newness, which equals prosperity, new ideas...GROWTH!

BORDERBLENDER.TUMBLR.COM

This blog begins a year and a half ago and reflects on my daily challenges and personal growth that went into this decision to make this adventure a reality. It doesn't shy away from personal issues or pain or gain. I have tried to be transparent and share inspiration and hope. As I have shared my South American trip with people along the way, I have gotten thumbs up and I have gotten fears of the lands south of our border. I am conscious to use wisdom and practicality, but I also know people are inherently good. We all share a common thread in our humanity...we all want to feel loved! As I set out, I will be conscious to share this love that has been given to me and to share the freedoms I have been blessed with. Thus the name BORDERBLENDER. Following is my first page of my blog. Enjoy the readâ
