ABOUT ME

I'm a finnish man born and raised in the rougher parts just south of Stockholm, Sweden. I've been schooled by the swedish school system at it's worst, by the streets, by TV and music, by my own mistakes and by living my life. But still I know nothing.Today I run a record label, a recording studio and a graphic design-company with two colleauges. Before that, I worked as a graphic designer but got fed up. I wanted to be my own boss and do things with my life that just wasn't working with a 9 to 5 eating up all my time and energy. Today I'm free, but I'm starting to wonder if too much freedom is as bad as none at all. Or is the grass always greener on the other side? It probably is, so the trick is to balance on the fence I guess. Damn yin and yang once again.Other things i like to do:Discuss/talk/politic/philosophy with friends and foes, walk, ride subways, eat food, ride bicycles, act smart, horseplay, tomfoolery, monkeyshine, discover things, learn new stuff, write, play games, SCRABBLE!, cook food, procrastinate, analyze everything, take things to the extreme, chill out ALOT...etc You know, human activities.The heart is the map and the mind is the compass.PS. I am not a hipppie.

PHILOSOPHY

It's really hard to put down feelings and thoughts on the subject "Why do you live your life?". I actually got that question from a stoned, soon-to-be mental patient the other day and I didn't know what to answer.

I live to discover why I live? Is that a good enough reason? Or I live because my parents decided to have a baby? If I follow that logic, then everyone must exist because Adam and Eve (no, I don't belive in Adam and Eve) decided to have children one day. But who was the mother to their childrens children? I live my life because it is what I'm supposed to do! And I'll try to enjoy every moment. Try.

Everything interests me until I understand it completely. Then I get bored and find something new that fills my mind with wonder. I know, man can't understand anything completely, but still....I get bored.

But in a bigger picture, anything created by real people, from the heart. Music, art, movies, books, performances, architecture, design...yeah, you get the picture.

Walking around in new places, meeting new peolpe, learning new stuff, eating strange foods. All this is nourishment for the soul. I like to feed my soul.

It's a lot of music, mostly rap/hip-hop but every genre has excellent artists. Most of the times I'm after a feeling when I'm listening to music, lyrics is not that important. But then again, I do appriciate good lyrics. But if I want to learn something, I'd rather read a book or see a documentary.

I like all kinds of movies. Real strange japanese horrorflicks, american stoner comedies, blockbusters, french black and white artfilms...it's the same as music, I try to find the raisins in every cake. But I guess horrorflicks is my forté.

The last few years I've seen much more TV-series than movies. South park, American Dad, The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, Big bang theory, The Office, Big love, Walking dead, The wire, Breaking Bad etc.

Books, well lately I've read Tao Te Ching, Yojokun, The Ethical Slut, Food of the gods and a bunch of swedish books. I read in periods and many books at the same time.
