About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience something different

ABOUT ME

Brazilians have more fun.

With that said, I grew up in Northern California, went to college in Michigan, and now live in NYC (Brooklyn!!!!). All of my family is from Brazil. I'm a recent law school graduate and am just starting out my legal career. The economy is crap, so I'm under employed at the moment -- legal projects here and there.

I feel like I've never been attached to any one place in particular - my entire life has been about jumping further and further east. California, Michigan, New York. Is Iceland next?

My current passion, without a doubt is food. I may have wasted my valuable time going to law school, but at least I have that knowledge. But in the meantime, eating well and discovering new foods is what truly excites me. A year ago, I would barely touch a salad -- it took my trip to Kosovo to actually eat one for the first time in decades (yes, probably 20+ years). I still dearly love a delicious steak or lamb, but I have a growing fondness for the green things.

PHILOSOPHY

The sun will rise tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I always end up being a tour guide. And I don't mind that. Whether it's cousins or friends visiting. CouchSurfing is but another avenue.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Kosovo (I just felt like going somewhere completely different). One of the most exciting, challenging, and thought-provoking places I've ever been to. And without CouchSurfing, I would not have had the same experience. Where to go. What to do. What to eat. And I even had a tour book, but it just wasn't the same without having real people show you the ropes. Albanian rock concerts. Smokey cafes. It was quite the experience. Shouts out to Noar and Visar!!!!

Interests

Futebol, jazz, history, Brazil, Brooklyn, a good bottle of wine, a smokey glass of whiskey, a strong espresso, photography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a child, I was in my school field -- and was in the middle of a monarch butterfly migration (think hundreds of butterflies). The butterflies brushing up against me. It happened twenty years ago and I will never forget it.
