COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just signed up through this website, so I'm new to sleeping at strangers' houses found on the internet. However, I once slept in the front yard of a Mexican family in Baja California Sur when our van broke down in front of their house. 4 of us slept in a 2 person tent in the middle of summer. We would have just slept outside because it was incredibly hot and humid, but our kind hosts told us to watch out for rattlesnakes...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was taking a pee out in the remote desert of Organ Pipe National Monument while camping, and 2 fighter jets zoomed right over me. It looked like they were going to crash into my face. They then disappeared into a canyon just behind me, and flew out a couple minutes later. Bizarre, exciting, frightening.
