About Me

I am a 28 year old dude living in Southern Maine. I'm a dog person though I don't have one at the moment. I care deeply about the outdoors. I love getting to know people. I prefer spontaneity to planning (sometimes to my detriment). I like to write, talk, listen, cook, read, and brew beer, though there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do any of these as much as I would like.

Interests

I am working on setting myself up to do a long distance thru-hike. Hoping to tackle the PCT in the summer of 2018. In the meantime I love to hike in New England, I'm about halfway through New England's 67 4000 foot peaks and hope to have them finished by the end of 2017. I sail when I can. I love to spend time with friends and inevitably that is where most of my time goes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movie is The Fountain, runners up are Cold Mountain, Shawshank Redemption, and the Lord of the Rings series. I spent a solid chunk of my life obsessed with the Lord of the Rings universe, from the trilogy on back through the histories, the Silmarillion, The Unfinished Tales and back on through, it's been a long time though. I love the Count of Monte Cristo, all things Vonnegut, and I don't read enough these days. Music is all over the place. Hip Hop, indie, rock, electronic, and jazz are all in bounds but so is a bunch more stuff. I grew up on James Taylor, he's the music that feels like home to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Concrete expertise, some woodworking skills, stories, a listening ear, computer troubleshooting, whatever you need really, I'm sure I can pitch in.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cuba, England, United Arab Emirates
