HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommate and I have hosted many couch surfers before, while I was living in Monterey. I couch surfed a few times around Europe, which was great. Now that I am back in California, my couch is available again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I am new to the Couch Surfing website, I am not new to couch surfing itself. My roommate had a profile so we used hers to host several couch surfers. I have met some of my dearest friends from couch surfing and I think it is one of the best experiences to meet wonderful people.

Seeing new places keeps my life engaging, whether it is traveling to new countries or cities, or moving to a new location. To me, each setting offers a chance to meet new friends, sites to see, and a fresh perspective on life. Needless to say, I love to explore and travel. Life also has many daily pleasures. From day to day, I like to run and bike around town to see both urban and natural settings. Nothing beats a good book. Whether it is fiction or nonfiction is not important, as long as the writing is good. I am passionate about politics, both reading and discussing it. I enjoy cooking and cuisine, for it is always nice to experiment. I also feel that music is one of the best ways of setting your spirit right. But I do think that all of these things are best enjoyed with good company and friends.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the most recent moments that left me awestruck was when I was arriving in Strasbourg by bus. From miles away I could see the Cathedral towering over the entire landscape, and it impressed me that such an enormous and ornate structure could have been built without the assistance of modern technology. I feel the same sense of being awestruck anytime I am in a beautiful natural setting, whether it is seeing the looming mountains of Berchtesgaden, the painted sunsets on California beaches, the crystalline waters of the tropics and glacial mountain streams, the immensity of the Redwood forests in the Northwest United States, or anything to do with astronomy!
