ABOUT ME

I am an Asian female, who grew up in a beautiful island named Taiwan. I used to want to become a talented artist, a powerful guitar player, a sweet singer (with my own band of course), a creative architect, an enthusiastic community planner…Now I am a researcher in social science, who enjoys the issues about people, cultures and environment. Besides a researcher, sometimes I am also a traveler. Mostly I feel like to be BOTH- as a researcher and traveler at the same time. So, if you feel that I show too much interest in YOU- my surfers, hosts or coffee mates, please take easy; I am just doing my job unconsciously ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I DO believe that tourism is not (only) a type of consumption on holidays, but a kind of practice in daily life—CouchSurfing.org realizes my belief. So I decided to join.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started my CS experience by being a host. Cosmina is my first guest in Amsterdam. After this nice hosting experience, I continued hosting surfers from many places in Amsterdam, and also I traveled with Couchsurfing to meet people in Europe. Now I move back to my home country. Yes, it is time for Couchsurfing in Asia!

兴趣

I like to listen to lovely stories, which can be told by a novel, a movie, a picture, or a song. Among these stories, the most beautiful one may be from a traveler.
Sometimes food also tells a story! I started to love cooking after I study abroad. Food is fantastic; it may cure the homesick of a traveler, and it can present the proud of a culture.

MUSIC-
There are TOO MANY~~~!! It depends on my mood.
Normally I love female vocal more; sweet cardigans fit coffee, beautiful Jewel fits a poem, and I like to sing out Alanis Morissette loudly when I bike home. The music of finger-style guitar‚€ Andy McKee, Don, Yun-Chang is also great--the guitar solo always calms me down.
I also enjoyTaiwanese pop music. Tizzy Bac and 陳昇 are my favorite.
But definitely, QUEEN is the best!! Brian May is the greatest guitar player of this planet!

BOOKS-
I the books with different topics, such as history, map, travel, food, et cetera. And national geographic is my favorite magazine.

MOVIES-
I love documentary. My favorite is Sugar Man, Traveling with Yoshitomo Nara. Some simple stories with deep discussion are also great, like Perfect stranger/Perfetti sconosciuti, which is the best in 2016.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

FLYING is the most amazing thing I have experienced! I went parasailing in Catalonia, in a beautiful day with bright blue sky. I experience the mountains, the basin and the landscape of Catalonia from a totally different angle— I would like to be a Catalan bird if there’s next life.
