About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as is possible for me to do on a limited budget.
ABOUT ME
After living in 20 "homes" in 35 years after college, I purchased this house and have been glued to it for 15 years. Now that I have retired, I am trying to travel and see more of the world. I started with my dream of cruising to Alaska, then decided to take a break from cold and snow for a couple of weeks in Arizona in 2009. That felt so good, I got some friends to go through the Panama Canal with me in 2010. Now I have a see Canada first objective. I went to Churchill, Manitoba to see the polar bears and then spent 2 weeks on Vancouver Island. Because I still want to take warm winter breaks, I have spent a couple of weeks in Mexico and in Hawaii. I like the idea of going somewhere and getting to know asome local people, but I have not yet surfed.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to make this world a better place - not in any really significant way but in little things - smiling at strangers, a hug for a friend, making my home attractive, being a good listener, looking after the environment, helping someone who needs help, being there if needed.

Music - country and western, folk music, classical, 50's style rock, blues, some jazz.
Books - mostly fiction - general, mysteries, historical, romance - but I stay away from wars and horror.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I have done was to get up the nerve to get into that little 9 passenger plane and fly onto the glacier on North America's tallest mountain.
