to find ways to lighten my load
Yogi who is trying to live yoga out of my backpack.
Worry is not a plan; Hope is not a solution.
If it scares me, it's probably worth doing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
by test driving this wacky idea on my way through South east Asia
I have had great experiences and met amazing people in India, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
Yoga, ayurveda, intentional communities, sustainable design, organic farming, cooking (especially veg or vegan), reading trashy sci-fi novels just finished Atlas Shrugged currently working my way through A People's History of the United States (reading pretty much whatever I can get my hands on honestly), headstands and developing a fool-proof method for selecting ripe papaya.
Music, Movies, and Books
Sin City, Closet land, Brother Sun and Sister Moon (oh my god this is so funny), everything Miyazaki, anything with Toshiro Mifune, action movies even though they disturb my calm, and a bunch of trashy movies I refuse to cop to; tom waits, Dolly Parton, Harry Connick Jr, and a bunch of trashy music I refuse to cop to; Russian novels, Sol Viva, Mortgage-Free (guide to buying a home without one), Cryptonomicon, Jane Austen, sci-fi everything, Terry Pratchett, Tolkien, and a bunch of, you guessed it, trashy novels I refuse to cop to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driven through Ho Chi Minh City traffic at rush hour. It's incredible.
Climbed Adam's peak in flip-flops and managed to do it without hurting my knees though my calves were shaking like pretty pledges at a frat party after all the girls have gone back to the dorm.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach yoga, I can cook with recipes and even a little without, I can bake bread, and I have a great sense of direction.
