About Me

"You will never be happy, if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never life if you look for the meaning of life."

Having lived in 9 different places during my childhood, I've become used to a "unsteady" Lifestyle and adapting to new situations, People and places. Due to growing up with four siblings (Five, including my dog) I enjoy having People around me and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.”

“Once in a while it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told to.”

These quotes sum up perfectly my reasons for being on Couchsurfing. It gives me the opportunity to encounter a wide variety of people outside of my usual "Bubble". I'm interested in the stories of life and open to talk about anything. Especially if it forces me to come out of my "mental comfort zone" if you know what i mean.

Plus If one can't see the world, one has to let the world come into one's home - which why i like hosting right now as I'm unable to travel as much as i would like to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music starts where language ends- and here comes one of my most and luckily only in theory to be asked question: If you could only do one of them- listen to music or read for the rest of your life- which would you choose?
I listen to almost anything, have to admit that I don't know the differences in genre, but am happy to learn. My specialty is quoting music lyrics on any occasion- Life is for living i would say.
Looking forward to listen to your favorite music piece or dance to it.

Most people thought i grew up without any TV, so I am not an expert in movies- I enjoyed Dr. House, loved Inception and I think i never cried as much as at the ending of lord of the rings.

When i read a good book, it's like traveling without ever leaving my chair "- And for that i have always loved books. They are the best form of escapism i know and to name a few i have enjoyed :The three body series from Cixin Liu, Pride and Prejudice, The Stranger, Und er wählte sich 5 glatte Steine, Little Women, Harry Potter, The feeling of what happens.... open for any good titles

"Life is like riding a bicycle- to keep your balance you must keep moving"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended 2 weeks of seminars with people from all around the world. (Called the "Nerdcamp" :D)

Sleeping in a hammock in the peruvian jungle.

Being hugged by a complete stranger, because my day was a complete desaster and realising once again- "the world is what you make it"

Teach, Learn, Share

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” - The qoute from Dr. Seuss sums the topic of learning up perfectly!

I am interested in anything and everything, but definitely about cultures and their food and music.

I will be happy to share as much knowledge on any topic as I have to you - but not more. There are already enough people on this earth pretending to know more then they actually do and don't want to be one of them.

My specialty is making something yummy out of whatever you got left in the fridge as well as random philosophical talks and asking random questions or sharing random facts without any other further background :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking style and openminded( a little crazy sometimes) talks and german punctuality ( don't worry, my traveling in Columbia made me very adaptable to every interpretation of time :D )

A sense of humor in any Situation.

Lend an open ear, if you need one.

Dance Out Sessions.
