Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To increase my number of interesting and cool people I have met in my time on the blue marble. And lets be honest, to find a free place to crash while traveling.
ABOUT ME
The most common phrase people use to describe me is "laid back". I am definately a go with the flow type dude. I get along with just about anybody. However, I do have an edgy side if you are messing with my friends or family.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short...play and rock hard. I love my free time and usually spend it with my family. My wife and son are everything to me. they make working two jobs so worth it. I try to take advantage of any live musical act in the Georgia area that satisfies my auditory taste buds.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only had the opportunity to surf once. it was a great experience even though I was bit in the foot by my host's dog. My family and I really enjoy hosting people. We are at a point in our lives that we really can't travel all that much. Hosting gives us a chance to "travel" the world vicariously through the stories of our surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed - once
Host - Skies the limit
Interests
I love outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, canoeing, going to the beach and fishing. I am really passionate about my sport teams. I am a die hard born and bred Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. My college allegiance is to my alma mater, Penn State University. I am a elementary school physical education teacher by trade and have a side gig as a pedicab driver in downtown Savannah. The pedicab job is sweet cause I get to meet so many different types of people and get a brief snapshot into their worlds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am in the process of completing a lifetime goal of mine...hiking the entire length of the Appalachian Trail. I have achieved 650 miles of this personal mission. I have met so many great and interesting people along my journey. Some of these people have changed my perspective on life. The hike itself has made me more humble and thankful for what I have in life.
