ABOUT ME

Hi, My name's Doug. I'm an Undergraduate Student studying History of Art and Fine Art at Edinburgh University but am originally from High Wycombe way down South near London. I heard about CouchSurfing from a friend and together we went to Ireland for a few days and stayed on a couch; it was a great experience and that's why I'm keen to get involved the community!

Interests

As I'm studying Art I'd say that's definitely a big interest of mine along with loads of other cultural things. Love to walk/hill walk, whatever you want to call it, and am currently exploring Scotland whilst at Uni and am especially loving the North West Highlands but am also keen to visit other countries and see some of the amazing natural sights. Would say I'm keen on sports, camping, old pubs with a great atmosphere and having fun generally.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the small village of Londiani in Kenya was a fantastic experience; just seeing how life is so different and meeting some of the nicest people was extraordinary. Have also had some great times in Scotland's wilderness, witnessing gorgeous sunsets/sunrises and spectacular mountain ranges.
