About Me

I'm a good person and I like meeting other good people. I also love eating good food and laughing loudly (hopefully you do too lol)

I was born and raised in Chicago, but I belong in the mountains or the ocean. So I've moved to the western part of the US. Home is wherever the mountains are. I still highly recommend visiting Chicago if you've never been there. I can recommend many good places to eat 😁

I'm very open minded, laid back, and down to earth. But I also like to party and have fun. I'm currently skydiving and working towards learning to base jump with a wing suit. I also love to snowboard, skateboard, surf, rockclimb, spraypaint, explore cities, hike/climb mountains, forage for wild mushrooms, and freedive. I just want to be a good person and learn to live in harmony with nature. I love animals. Animals love me.

I travel light and I'm also clean, neat, and organized.

"Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I am vast, I contain multitudes" -Walt Whitman

"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society where none intrudes, By the deep Sea, and music in its roar: I love not Man the less, but Nature more" -Lord Byron

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience new things and learn as much as I can. To ask questions and hopefully provide answers. To see the world through your eyes.

I'm not here to just use you for a place to sleep. Couchsurfing (and life) is all about meeting people and making meaningful connections.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
My life is constantly filled with music. My recent genre preferences: Soul, Motown, Funk, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Indie Rock/Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, Trip-Hop, Lo-Fi, R&B, Soulection(record label), and Electronic music(literally almost every subgenre). These are just the recent genres I've been listening to, but I'm open to all types of music, and I love hearing new music from all over the world.

Movies
I have seen too many amazing films to try to make a definitive list. Some titles that come to mind are: Seven Samurai, Sword of Doom, Harakiri, Ikiru, Tampopo, The Seventh Seal, Koyaanisqatsi, Baraka, The Matrix, The Animatrix, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, City of God, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Prometheus, The Raid 2, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Into The Wild, and Interstellar. When we meet please ask me to list more of my favorite films. I also love documentaries, especially nature documentaries.

Books
The Alchemist, On The Road, Ishmael, Sophie's World, Into The Wild, Into Thin Air, Scar Tissue, Everything Is Illuminated, White Oleander, Sin City, Spawn, Akira, and many others that I can't recall at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can fly in my lucid dreams. (Working on flying in real life 😉)

Swim with sharks without a cage or any protection.

To love and to be loved.

Too many things to list. Just ask when you meet me 😜
