ABOUT ME

What to say... Bec and I have just finished backpacking around Europe, UK, SE Asia for 6 months so can start hosting again! We have just moved to Maclean while we are building a house. I am 28 and Bec is 25 years old and we have been a couple for 3 years but known each other about 5 years now.

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure if we have one! probably the one we adhere to the most is treating others like we would like to be treated. I think its a good philosophy when it comes to communities like couchsurfing, as i always try and make peoples visit memorable, and always hope for the same.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My brother, my parents, colleagues and I have been hosting for a few years and I have had so many great experiences with hosting surfers. We have done a little surfing during out trip but have hosted quite a few people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have attended some couch surfing events like picnics and beach parties, and hosted several travelers. We have been doing a long distance relationship for 2 years now so it has made it hard to host as many people as we would like to as we only have been able to see each other on weekends and hence lots of travelling. I have managed to host several people and groups and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Intereses

Traveling! Reading, movies, sightseeing, food and culture. Love so many different cuisines and to cook them! We both love the outdoors and always try and find something exciting and new to do when we arrive somewhere.

Like all sorts of music. Just saw Maroon 5 and Sarah barrelis... We always seem to be listening to something different and rarely disagree on music!

Trekking through Vietnam and Thailand. Riding camels through the Sahara and staying in a Berber camp.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Back home i used to teach a bit of surfing and have taken several couch surfers for lessons. I do teach IT back home as well so can show people a few tricks with computers etc. I also used to coach rowing and rowed competitively myself so if anyone is interested?!?!?
I love to cook, not sure if I'm good at teaching people it but would love to show people a few things i have picked up and would love to learn more!
