When I travel, I want to see the world as a local does. I want to avoid the western-centric hospitality scene of big hotels and fancy resorts. I've had the best times in my life living as the Japanese do in Nagoya, as the Germans in Berlin, the Irish in Dublin, and the Outdoorsy folks of the Pacific Northwest of the US.
