About Me

I'm a Brazilian seeking my degree on Communication Engineering. I am a junior, so I am almost there hopefully! lol. I earned a fully covered scholarship for 1 year and a half to come to the U.S., learn English, take some classes at a university, and participate in an internship. Well, last year, I learned English for 9 months. After, I took some classes at the University of Arkansas last Spring. Now, I am in the end of my scholarship. I've been working with a professor at UC Irvine for a month. I must come back to Brazil in August. I am looking forward to making friends and enjoying the rest of the time I have here. My life goal is to come back here to work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard from a friend who met up with a host on Couchsurfing. They got along, went out to the bars, and did many other things together as if they were brothers. I thought something like that would be impossible to happen. That's why I am looking for the same thing such as meeting people, hanging out, going out... making connections =)

Interests

I really love spending my time to get known people. I enjoy understanding new ways of seeing the things and ways of life from other cultures. I appreciate going out to bars, night clubs, and parties. I like to drink beer and liquors, but I don't over drink. I recently found out I love to go to beaches, discovering new places, and travel. I watch some sports, and I try to play volleyball hahaha.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC - Do you know how hard is to answer this question? I like pretty much everything. It depends on my mood. Not only me but I believe almost all college students love a specific Brazilian music style which is "sertanejo."

MOVIES - I haven't watched many movies, but my favorite movies usually are comedies. I love to watch some TV series such as Game of Thrones, Arrow, The Walking Dead, American Dad, Family Guy, and many others.

BOOKS - I don't read much as I should be reading because college life has taken much free time. I like reading the news though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really like to travel and visit to interesting places. I used all break times to travel with my friends since we arrived here. First, we rented a car and drove 3,000 miles to visit Chicago, NYC, and DC. Then, we got on a flight to Las Vegas, rented a car to go to Grand Canyon and the West coast from San Diego to San Francisco. After, we went to Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Key West. Finally, we got on a cruise to Mexico, Honduras, and Belize. Now, I hope to travel around in California and get known some places.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my culture experience and expectations I had before coming here. I can show you how it was important to change my concepts and my world vision.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm looking forward to getting known y'all. I am going to show you how the Brazilian culture is, and I am eager to make friends while I'm still here. Also, I am willing to do things I've never tried to do such as climbing and surfing. hahaha :)
