One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Palestine in 1989, I saw thousands of people from different faiths and nations, speaking many languages, sharing reverence for life, ancient places, relics and history.

In Oakland, CA and St Petersburg, FL, I saw city government "leaders" on up to the federal State bow to the pressure of mostly African community organizations serving local needs, asking how to represent the majority without inciting popular anger, while police and National Guard and other military forces were powerless before conscious youth with little to lose defending their community centers.
