Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world, meet new people, break cultural boundaries! And above all, always keep learning from others. :)
ABOUT ME
Hey!
I'm Doug, from Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. I started traveling as early as I could. I did an exchange year in China before college, went to Middlebury College in Vermont, where I studied international politics and economics. I worked for Amazon for about 2.5 years as part of a rotational program. I moved around the USA every 6 months doing financial analysis for a number of different distribution centers, settled in Seattle, and am now on a year-long travel adventure! My girlfriend and I quit our jobs in late 2016 and are traveling through Latin America and Asia.
You can follow our travels here: https://anemoscopio.wordpress.com/.
I'm always down to discuss different political systems and love talking about current events. I like economics as well, but am a little rusty on the theories.
I'm all about learning from others and seeing the world from new perspectives. I love traveling because you get to see so many new places and switch up your cultural perspective.
PHILOSOPHY
It's all about putting yourself out there and accepting what life has to offer. I can be a bit shy, but I try to get myself out there into the world so I can experience it fully. Human relationships are what make me happy and I love spending time with others.
