CURRENT MISSION
Getting a foothold into the international authentic musicscene
ABOUT ME
Easy-going, but lazy by nature.
Thoughtful, but sometimes too serious.
Cheerful, but laughs way too loud.
A good listener, but sometimes too opinionated.
Without prejudice, but often too naïve.
PHILOSOPHY
Aim for the highest and never lose hope, but take nothing for granted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm fairly new on CS. For now I'm offering my couch, and try to participate in CS-meetings close by.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been to CS-meetings in The Hague, where I've met some very interesting persons.
Interests
I like to go out and see a movie - mainly arthouse - go to the theatre, see a - modern - ballet or go to a concert - mainly classical. While at home I love to read a book or a newspaper, but I also like to sit on my couch and watch a DVD.
One of my best decisions was to cancel my subscription for a tv-signal. I consider watching tv such a waste of time, except for documentaries or the evening news; I watch those on the internet - without the commercials, thank you very much.
I'm not much of a dancer, but I like to go out and have a few drinks in a bar with friends. I like to cook, and I drink like a european ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 10 years old, for the first time I heard someone play the oboe. I've been playing it ever since; I even became a professional oboist. The sound of an oboe goes right through the heart - like it or not.
Seeing the Milky Way for the very first time; this was when I was travelling in the US while I was camping in a national-forest in the Mid West. I live in the Netherlands where true darkness doesn't exist anymore, so I had to wait for 18 years to behold such a spectacle.
Culture is very important in my life. I've been awestruck quite some times while listening to music during a concert, or reading a poem.
