ABOUT ME

Homo sapien. Planet Earth. Wanderer / Wonderer. Easy-going, open-minded guy. Can be serious, safe and steadfast but mostly very positive, practical and playful.

Adopted as an infant. Grew up in Chilliwack in Fraser Valley of BC. Went to Uni in Vancouver. Moved to Ottawa for work. Travelled for 9 months in Australia and Asia. Lived in Taipei for 4 years. Back to Canada in 2002.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting... pretty cool and invigorating having new people coming into my life and space. Surfing... hitting the road, skies and waterways and ending up in someone else's world... nice. Connecting and being connected.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been a CS member since August 2011... really started surfing over 20 years ago though... staying with friends in other countries, crashing at friendly stranger's places, living/working at youth hostels while travelling in Australia/SouthEast Asia.

First surfing experience was in Palm Springs in March 2012... great trip. First experience hosting was with Kim... who introduced me to CS... so first official hosting of a fellow CS was April 2012.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Byron Bay, Australia... up on a bluff by the lighthouse, watching a pod of dolphins surf in and out through the waves at sunset... aah. Clothes off and into the water. Amazing!

Mud bath at the edge of Howse River in Banff National Park, Canadian Rockies, with Kim and Tobias from Czech Republic! All kinds of shivers for sure.
