I want to see as much of the world as possible. I seek to understand how it works, what goes wrong on planet earth and how to contribute my part to make it a little bit better.

ABOUT ME

After I finished school in 2007, I spent one and a half years in cenral america. I wanted to replace the obligatrory military service which we have in germany with something which seemed a bit more useful to me - thats how I ended up in Nicaragua, doing a twelve months so called "civil service". I worked in several projects including teaching english and a Foundation which takes care of children who live in difficult conditions. Afterwards, I was so in love with this country, that I didnt want to leave yet and I stayed in Managua, the nicaraguan capital, for another two months. Then I took some time to travel Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico, before I went back and worked as a freelancer writing for the local newspaper of my home town Rheinfelden for a few months, to gather experience and a little money. I currently studying political science in Bremen, 800 km north of the town I was born in. Maybe in order to become a professional journalist some day, but you never know where life leads you in the end, do you? Meanwhile, I try to enjoy life as much as I can. I like to read about whats going on in the world, fiction and none-fiction, try not to let the first one get to me too much and have long and deep conversations about everything that keeps the world moving. I enjoy a lot of different kinds of music, live and also just from the stereo speakers, going out and having a nice and cold beer with good people.

Still a beginner, although I have this profile for quite a while now. Surfed some couches in Mexico, but didn't fix up the contact by myself because I was travelling in a group. Planning to get involved more.
