About Me

Get to the UK, find the towns my family started in, win the hearts of the locals, throw off the shackles of oppression and raise a new flag in glory and honour, to search for the Holy Grail, THIS is my charge, THIS is my quest, THIS is my Destiny!

I'm a heavy metal hippie wanna-be guitarist with a passion for creativity and a tolerance for work. I enjoy originality, eccentricity and open minds, with an appreciation of wit but a deeper one of kindness. I will talk to just about anyone about anything and more often than not I find they have something interesting to say. Although that is not always the case. I am an a-typical starving artist with enough savings for a holiday and enough ideas for an ep., just as soon as I can get my head around the production software. And since software runs on a laptop I might as well try for both at once, that way if one fails there'll be nice scenery.

I've been told I lack the normal self-defence mechanisms people use to deny or ignore their own mortality. Which sounds kind of weird, I wasn't sure whether to be insulted or not, and for a long time it devalued my life, since a constant awareness of my own mortality was kind of a downer. Then my innate nihilism lead inexorably to the conclusion that if life is ultimately meaningless then the only point to living is for the hell of it. So if this is all I get, it had better be fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

All the classic fantasy authors, Eddings, Feist, Jordan, more recently I've loved Brandon Sanderson and Scott Lynch (who has a cool name). I also found The Atman Project to be a great read, I didn't agree with all it's points, but they were all beautifully expressed.

Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Stickmen, Kick Ass, Scott Pilgrim, Watchmen, there's too many good movies in the world to list, isn't that a happy thought?

Puscifer, Tool, Pendulum, Knife Party(seeing a trend? Then you're awesome), Skrillex(I know, but he IS good), on and on, lots of metal and heavy stuff, plus some beautiful alternative metal and folk and hip hop etc. I'll listen to anything I think is intelligent or artistically accomplished.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yet to get out of my own country, but I spent a year and a half traveling to outback primary schools doing solo educational theatre and got to see some cool stuff. Bungee-jumping in Cairns was good fun, as was Nimbin. But I wouldn't say anything has blown me away yet.
