About Me

CURRENT MISSION

relax and enjoy the ride ...

ABOUT ME

Relaxed, easy going, curious and eager to learn new things. I try not to worry too much about things. I live very basic life, it's my choice, and I do my best to enjoy every moment!
I can be shy and quiet when in bigger groups, or very chatty in smaller groups .. or if you hit the right topic ;)

My passion is travel! I use every free moment to go away! Something is wrong if I'm not planning a trip .. more likely 3 at the same time :)) Can't go too long without traveling, sometimes I just go across town to a neighborhood I've never been to or a town near by.

When I travel it is very important to meet locals, try some local food and drinks (love checking local supermarkets!), get to know their daily routines, traditions and way of life. I usually walk a lot, getting lost in new places, venturing outside of the tourist zone and snapping tons of pictures along the way :))

I'm not into nightlife and partying, especially not when I'm traveling. I prefer daytime activities, and enjoy very much going out for a walk or coffee, being with people, joking and laughing, learning about other cultures, savoring good food, long walks and being outdoors ...

PHILOSOPHY

It takes a small effort to make every moment special!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host and I surf :) ... I sometimes attend meetings .. especially if it's outdoors activities or day trips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really love CSing!
So far had only very positive experiences! I don't have much free time, but I host whenever I can. When I decide to host it's very important that this person has the right CS attitude, that he/she is here to get to know me, Belgrade, Serbia and ex Yugoslavia.

Interests

travel, travel, travel :) .. I love sports, watching more than practicing these days :) .. languages, architecture, authentic food, cooking, nature, long walks, hiking, skiing, laughing, meeting people and getting to know different cultures ...

Music, Movies, and Books

-I like animated movies or good adventure films ...
-Any music goes but my fav is rock, the harder the better :) .. on my mp3 you are most likely to find some Spanish rock, pop, flamenco, Spanish guitar or Gypsy music.
-I enjoy reading, especially mystery books, and I'm a big Harry Potter fan! .. because we are all magicians, holding the power (the magic wand) to do whatever we want with our lives!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to choose one, so I'll do a list :)
- the most amazing thing is probably packing my life into 2 suitcases + laptop, buying a one way ticket and moving to a far away country where I knew nobody
- When in Rome do as the Romans do ... so I went all alone to a Lazio-Roma football match .. wow! it was an unbelievable experience!
- Riding a camel through Moroccan desert at sunset and then spending a sleepless night under the stars
- not being able to stop the tears while watching my first flamenco show in Sevilla
- standing in front of the incredible Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt
- road trip across Canadian Rockies and seeing bears along the way
- watching cremations in Nepal at Pashupatinath Temple
- Jaw-dropping architecture in India
- Cappadocia and trekking in Saklikent gorge in Turkey
- exploring Wadi Rum desert in Jordan
- hiking in Utah, Bryce and Zion NP's
- trekking through Nam Talu Cave in Khao Sok NP, Thailand
- ice trekking and hiking in Patagonia Argentina
- spectacular gorges of Salta region in Argentina
- visit to coffee plantation and spice farm in Tanzania
