ABOUT ME

I am a Korean-American law student. I lived in Cairo, Egypt for two years while studying Arabic.

I am a huge nerd, but you wouldn't necessarily know it unless you got to know me a bit. I like to shop and dress nicely and go out and dance and be a lady, but inside I am hiding a teenage boy who used to stay up all night playing computer games and eat junk food and has a rather crude sense of humor.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm relatively new to CS even though I opened an account a while back because my friend used to host in Bristol. I try to help travelers in Cairo with tips and showing them around and hosting when possible, and would like to receive the same support from others when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There have been some bad experiences (I think it is important to remember that CS is a microcosm of the real world and you will meet all sorts of people along different walks of life) but the good ones totally outweigh, without a doubt.

兴趣

I really really love food and photography. Food photography combines two of my favorite things, so I like to take pictures of my food :) I have an insatiable sweet tooth and I bake whenever I have the free time. I try to be somewhat healthy though and will use organic and natural ingredients whenever possible. I also LOVE nuts and think everyone should try to include some in every dish in order to make the world a better place (unless you are allergic, in which case I feel sorry for you...).

I have recently become more serious about fitness and like to lift weights because I am trying to develop insanely huge biceps. I really hate treadmills though, so instead I try to play sports (I LOVE squash) and immerse myself in the beauty of nature through hiking, etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Watching the sunrise from the top of a mountainous formation of chalk in the White Desert in Egypt, after falling asleep under the stars the night before and seeing eight shooting stars in the span of about forty-five minutes.

Sleeping in a treehouse at the top of a mountain near Antigua, Guatemala with a floor-to-ceiling window that overlooked the city flanked by two volcanoes, both of which erupted during our stay there. Climbing Mount Pacaya and feeling the heat of the molten lava running down was also amazing.

The first opera I attended at the Met in New York was Turandot... as soon as the curtain rose and the stage was revealed, I felt tears well in my eyes from the beauty of it all, and they didn't dry throughout the rest of the performance.
