Overview
About Me
I can describe myself as very curious person, who loves to laugh, dance, sing and read. I adore discovering new countries, their people, habbits, especialy folklore and history.
I like very much sports in nature - skiing, roller skating, hiking and especially mountaineering in our beautiful Alps.
I love to relax in forest or practice yoga to calm down.
I live and travel with my husband Peter and our lovely daughter Katarina who is one year old.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first time on Couchsurfing was in 2010, when I was travelling in Peru with friends after working as volunteer up in the Ands. It was nice experience to go sightseeing and party with locals, so I suggested that to other friends when we went to Spain and Portugal next summer.
That's how it started.
When I travel, I try to interact with local as much as possible to be able to really feel country that I'm visiting and its culture - that is why I find Couchsurfing very useful.
Interests
I dance in a Academic folk dance group Ozara, where I'm constantly in touch with our tradition and culture. We also travel a lot to international festivals all over the world.
My other dance passion is swing. I really enjoy wearing vintage outfit and going out to some really nice places in our capital Ljubljana and also in my hometown, Kranj.
I like to live an active life and to spend a lot of time outside doing outdoor sports form hiking in summer time to skiing in winter. On the other hand I'm very fond of history and art history and I love to admire ancient sights.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy jazz music, and different kinds of etno music. I also listen to good old rock or rock'n'roll.
I'm LOTR fan and I really enjoy that kind of movies. Recently I started to follow to The Game of Thrones too :)
I like some european classics, especially french and russian realism. On the other hand also postmodernistic authors and magic realists got my attention.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swim in a frozen lake! After great finnish sauna in Lapland. Oh, where I also took a husky ride.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really love to practice all those languages I've learned. I can also help you with learning some in coversation but I hope you could help me too as I am far from perfect speaker of any of them.
If you are a swing dancer, I would love to join you for some dance evening.
I also enjoy deep conversations and I would like to learn everything possible about contry I'm visiting.
Oh, and some food tasting is always a good idea! I can also prepare some for our guests :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you some traditional slovenian dances, prepare some traditional food, or share our interesting life story as parents of premature born baby, some parenting tips, if you are interested I can give you little insight in slovenian history and lifestyle.
