About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a place in life (and a place to live).

ABOUT ME

I'm young, inexperienced, lost in this huge world and looking for my place in it. Yet I do not worry about the future too much, am more of a human to just let things flow, wait and see how everything turns out. So I'm very spontaneous.
I am also open about just anything and happy to share my thoughts if wanted.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I was born, so I'll make the best of it and enjoy it while it lasts.
In order to enjoy it, I realized that I have to find my very own balance between giving and taking, and currently giving seems more important to me.
I like to serve those who help me to thank them and repay their good deeds, or those who need my help in turn, expecting nothing but gratefulness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of now my options are limited, thus I have to rely on other couchsurfers to get around. At some point though I'd love to repay by offering a couch myself - to give what you get is my philosophy on this. Not to mention how I am very confident about meeting new people, forging new friendships and socializing overall.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've spend months at friends places several times in the past. As I already knew them all before, it was little trouble staying with them for that long, thus no bad experiences have been made.
Not too long ago I was in Scotland and had a few hosts there, their references are on my profile.
Then someone offered me to come to America, Vermont, and so I did. I stayed with him for a month and everything was fine. Just after that, someone else in Wisconsin took me in for a whole two weeks, and again, we had a blast! So I continued down to Texas and that's where I'm stranded.

Interests

I absolutely adore art, design, writing and music having contributed to the first three myself.
Furthermore I greatly enjoy outdoor activities (even though I'm fairly new on that field). Especially hiking and biking are my thing, and I've spend quite a count of days outside in Scotland. It was very thrilling and I'm looking forward to doing that again. ^^
Lastly I'm studying Information Technology, so it's fair to say I gathered a bit of experience on how to handle computers, which is a result of my interest in coding.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I listen to almost everything. Jazz, Classical, Electro, Rock, Pop, you name it. I however do have a clear preference when it comes to the emotion behind the music, since I usually avoid aggressive pieces and prefer calming ones.

While I am generally not interested in movies, I am open to watching almost anything of quality. I specifically enjoyed Hayao Miyazakis works and the Game of Thrones series, of which I prefer the books though. In general I'm more into books than movies really, my favorites being Ursula K. LeGuin's and Terry Prattchet's works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I count the months I spend away from my family or even abroad to the life events worth remembering. I also started to study while in school since I had nothing else to do really.

Teach, Learn, Share

I should be able to help you with your computer issues or teach you something about software and code.
I can also draw pretty decently and have quite some experience with design, so if there's some art or design you want me to judge (or even create!), I'd be more than willing to.

And I'm trying to learn to live on my own, work on my English pronounciation and vocabulary and slowly but surely find out more about myself. What path do I want to head in life? No idea. This is part of finding out.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook you some healthy vegetarian meals and teach you a little bit about nutrition.
I also have decent knowledge about European history and politics, so I can tell you just about anything you need to know of Germany, the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe.
All my other knowledge is of course free to share too, so ask me about computers or art or one of my other interests! :)
