ABOUT ME

If you've read any of my other tid bits you probably know I can't spell worth a damn. I'm educated, relatively well traveled and cultured. I think I've got a good grasp on life and the way the world works, but don't we all. I can probably be a bit insensitive towards people that don't want to help themselves. I'm from the South and love it! I love stereotypes because I find it amusing that so many of them often hold true. You've got to be able to laugh at yourself, don't take things too seriously.

PHILOSOPHY

Have no regrets, just do things differently in the future. The sooner you learn that shit happens, and you've just got to learn to live with it, the better off you'll be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any through this website, but I did end up staying on a guy's couch that I met through another friend while visiting a college campus for a football game. People that don't mind you crashing on their couches are usually fun to hang out with even if you don't know them.

I love me some Jimmy Buffett, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, I don't read a lot, I think I've seen every movie that has come out in the past 5 years, working offshore will do that. Currently reading Oliver Twist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to Angola Africa and saw an old army tank that was burried in the sand on the beach. It was bombed during the civil war about 30 years ago and then left there. As the tide came in and out and storms came and went the tank would get covered up and uncovered. You could only see the barrel sticking up out of the sand when I was there. Still, pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn to do something quirky that not many other people can do. If you find somebody else that can do it you will have an instant connection. Otherwise, you will just have something fun to show other people.
