Hello everyone, this is Drea and Choclo, we are a couple (Swedish and US) going on our first bike tour, (on folding bikes) starting in Santa Cruz, down to Mexico, and eventually crossing over (by plane) to Europe.
We have been slowly preparing since this summer (2016) and in a week or so, we will be off, riding the 1 down all the way to the Mexican border.
We are super excited and quite a bit nervous, but are looking forward to this new chapter in our life.
We have both been traveling traditionally as backpackers for many years and have between us covered quite a bit of the planet. But we have decided that backpacking is no longer the best way for us to travel, so then Choclo came up with the fantastic biking idea.
We are super excited to ride and to meet all kinds of people and see the beauty of the land slowly, but surely.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Since we will be on our bikes most days, and won't always know where exactly we will end up, or for how long, we decided to try out couchsurfing (which a lot of our friends use and recommend). We are hoping to meet a variety of people this way, and be able to have some interesting encounters. And a warm place to sleep in between the camping :)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

freedived (no tanks, only one breath at the surface) to 40 meters, held my breath for 4 minutes. drea

i don't think i have ever done anything truly amazing. been to a lot of places by sitting on a lot of chairs (airplanes, buses, trains). but I'm hoping by going on this bike trip, i will come closer to touching amazing. choclo
