About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Liviing life out loud and loving it.
ABOUT ME
My partner Karen and I have taken a year off from our work to travel. I have two adult sons who both reside in Vancouver. I own a 27 foot sailboat which I moor in Vancouver. I am a child protection social worker and Karen has recently retired from a career of Sign Language Interpreter. She also is the director of a womens theatre group in Vancouver. We love to travel, read and just being silly.
PHILOSOPHY
My work can be difficult so my off time, I like to be silly and playful. I love to laugh and find my partner the funniest person I know. I believe in seeing the good in everyone and not dwell on their negative characteristics. I am a very positive and good nature person, which I believe plays a big part in how you are treated in the big world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is new to us and at this time we are travelling so we can not offer a couch. We have rented out our home in Burnaby BC wth the hopes to purchase a home in Vancouver before March 31, 2012. For the past 6 months we have travelled to Australia, house sit and stayed with friends and family.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have not couch surfed before but our travel agent tells us it is the best experience if you are open to new experiences and meeting wonderful/colourful people. When we travelled to Australia last May, we enjoyed the hostel experience with the diversity of people it offered, so why not try couch surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
All books but not much of a movie buff. As for music, love pop and blues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have two wonderful sons, ages 30 and 26, so that is pretty fantastic. At age 31, I started University and graduated at age 39 with a Social Work degree. At age 47, I quit my job, ended a 7 year relationship, sold my home and moved to Vancouver to be by the ocean. I am living my dream everyday here in Vancouver.
Teach, Learn, Share
Find the positive in any situation. Reframing a difficult situation into a win win outcome. I could learn more about myself and how I travel. What would I share? I am loved and I have been loved, what more could anyone ask for.
