ABOUT ME

I love cooking, roaming the city streets, visiting galleries and museums, wandering into churches and cathedrals (before you ask, I'm not Christian), grabbing a pint in a historic pub, chatting in bars/cafes, and going to concerts.
I love to laugh and I've been told that I am a pretty sarcastic person. I've also been told that I'm pretty nerdy, but I'm not as big of a nerd as I was a few years ago. I enjoy talking about almost anything (go ahead, try me!), especially urban art, comic books, movies, and slam poetry a great deal. I love people-watching and smack-talking, and hy-phenating words. I also been told that people love my random facts (most of which I learned while surfing Wikipedia when I was probably supposed to be studying for an exam)!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I attended events in NYC, and have couchsurfed in Chicago, LA, Dresden, and Cairo. Had some couchsurfers stay with me in London, Athens, and Amsterdam. It's been such a wonderful journey and has opened me up to all sorts of new and amazing experiences! I've met so many wonderful people through couchsurfing :)

Interests

Football (soccer). COOKING. Scrabble. Chillin. Joking around. Pointless chatter over a cup of coffee/tea. Long e-mails. Witty banter. Drawing. Talking about urban art and culture.

Waaaaay too many to list on all of those, so here are some highlights:
Monuments Men, a book about art conservators protecting art and monuments in Europe during WW2
Some mentionable authors: DOUGLAS ADAMS!!! Philip Pullman, Patrick Robinson, Neil Gaimon, George Orwell, Ken Follet, Simon R. Green.
Favorite poets: Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Gary Soto, Taylor Mali, Saul Williams.
Music untouchables: Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Queen, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi. I like most music, though, especially Epic Rap Battles of History (Youtube if you haven't heard about it)
I like most movies, especially action and epics.
