About Me

I have lots of love for every and all being. I am an adventurer, a hiker, backpacker, vegetarian, good food-eater, musician, skateboarder, tree climber, rock climber, explorer, energy-recognizer, farmer, hard worker, listener, speaker, teacher, student... the list goes on. My most essential passion is surfing. It is truly how I nourish my spirit.
I've been teaching surfing for about 5 years now. I love working with kids.
I am extremely compassionate and empathetic, which makes it effortless for me to connect with people wherever I go.
On my journey I am being humbled, I am constantly in close contact with the Earth, I am meeting beautiful people from all over the world, and I am finding my avenues for giving back. I am an earth citizen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a young man on a mission. I've been traveling for a few years now, but I've been on the road non-stop for a solid 8 months now. I am kind of in search of some stability; I'm looking for the place I belong.
I have been learning a lot while traveling, mostly from the plethora of diverse people I cross paths with. Every experience is a beautiful lesson.
In couch surfing I hope to find places to stay, obviously, but also I'm looking to make connections.
I am on a part of my journey where my main goal of travel is to see different places and decide on a place to settle. Connecting with local people is imperative.

Interests

...(see "about me"). But to add to the list, I love to meditate. I am a Vipassana meditator. (Dhamma Family what up!). I love to stretch and do yoga. I NEED to stretch and do yoga. I love to read good books, I love sacred things and places, I love connecting with humans and animals, I love plant-based food, I love growing and harvesting my own food, I love study of the stars and the science of the sky, I love volcanoes, I LOVE THE OCEAN, I love travel.
I firmly believe that travel teaches one invaluable lessons and makes one well-rounded.
I like to climb anything that is climbable... mostly trees and rocks. Love to climb pepper, banyan, and redwood trees. I love the forest. I love the jungle. I even love the desert!
I love marine biology, aquariums, and sea life. I am a child of the earth and an earth citizen. Protecting the earth really lights my fire.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is life... it keeps things flowing. I listen to a myriad of different genres. Lately I've been hooked on Fat Freddy's Drop from New Zealand. I love reggae music, rock, some punk, blues, rap, hip-jop, jazz, etc... A few examples would be Bunny Wailer, Led Zeppelin, Sex Pistols, Otis Redding, Jack Johnson, Sublime, just to name the popular ones.
Movies: Fight Club, Interstellar, Food Inc., and more that I cant think of now. I haven't seen too many good movies but I'm interested in the study of film.
Books: The Journey Home, The Alchemist, TNT: The Power Within You, How To Sit, The Gem Set in Gold, man, the list goes on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My buddy and I bought all of our own food and water, learned the route, and did the 4 day trek to Machu Picchu without a tour guide or a group of people. We did the pilgrimage solo!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer EPIC surf lessons. I have been surfing since I was just a grom(young person), so it is embedded in me. Even if you already started surfing, I could give you some invaluable insight/tips. I can do great garden work. Or any work for that matter, if needed. I am a hard worker and an an able-bodied person. So I can lift heavy things and move furniture etc. etc. I can provide splendid energy to a home as well as to an excursion. I am a magnificent adventure companion.
