About Me

HI,

I'm currently in Toronto and unavailable for guests.

Couchsurfing is a lot of guys who only host girls, men with clothing optional shared beds, and yet I still feel that it's because that MY profile isn't good enough that someone won't host me? Canadian enough for you?
So I'm here to fluff it up a tad. The profile.

I'm a mover and I like a good soundtrack for it.
I'm trying to collect stories like a good musician should. .. I can't do it alone :-) won't you help me make another one?

I have been a musician for years and years. I play a whole bunch of things: banjo, bass, guitar, mandolin, trombone. and now a little piano. Mostly I like singing and I have mostly been getting paid for doing my solo shows and traveling Europe rather than having a regular job.

I was an English teacher in South Korea for 2 years. I can teach you Korean in 15 minutes.

Before that I worked in an ISP. I can show you exactly how the world works through a clearly defined eye-witness non-geek history of the Internet. I'm neither an expert or a user... I'm a learning user or L-User.

I can tell you how to make a chocolate cake you'll love forever.

I can tell you how to make a cat a more loving and responsive pet although you might not like it.

I don't talk about Fight Club. (I just don't, sorry)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

“When so many are lonely as seem to be lonely, it would be inexcusably selfish to be lonely alone.”

― Tennessee Williams, Camino Real

Couchsurfing is the right thing to do. Hotels are fun if you are a rock star and can afford to smash them. BNB's are fun if you want to help balance some people's incomes.

But here is where we beat the systems which think we are too daft to share.

Interests

I love to learn recipes from other countries and any information about food. I LIKE EATING. Another big thing for me is comedy. I like the stand-up performers like Louis CK or Richard Pryor. I also love cats. Long movies. Great TV series. Staring at the sea and then suddenly jumping in it. Anything involving the number three.

Music, Movies, and Books

Seriously? We should talk about this live. I'm from Toronto. It's the media center of Canada. This is like asking someone from Hollywood what is their favourite film.

I'm currently memorizing the Elon Musk blog series e-compilation and fidgeting through Bernie Sander's book Our Revolution. I'm interrupted a lot by playing with my cat, the gym, messing with the ghostbusters video gameand teaching myself how to make auto-tune videos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Repeatedly move to a new country with zero plan, no money, and a lovely cat.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything about music and the way we listen. Distraction is very interesting to me. This includes magic, sales, lies, the concepts of over active and under active self esteem, getting stuck, and the paradox of people thinking they have to get ahead or screw each other over to get ahead or even just to survive. That stuff is fascinating.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help you paint your home or just help with dishes. Learning instruments. Babysitting? Song writing? Yoga stretching? What do you need to do today? Non microwave cooking?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Norway, South Korea, Sweden
