ABOUT ME
Well, I was raised in the blandest east coast suburbs of the USA you can imagine, lived splitting my time between London, UK and rural India for most of the 2000s, did my PhD on environmental issues in central India. Now teaching at a university in the NYC area. That picture of me is from a trip to Ethiopia a few years back. I love travel.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Spent May-June 2015 living through a 115 degree heat wave in isolated villages in the hills of central India, collecting oral histories. We were eating just 2 meals a day of dal and roti, while sitting on the cow dung floors of bamboo huts, no electricity, no A/C, no running water, no bathrooms, no roads so had to hike in or go by boat. All I wanted was a cold drink. For days at a stretch I had day dreams about refrigerated beverages.

... in other words, I think I can handle your living room... :)
