About Me

I'm a 32 year old french person, moved to Quebec City 8 years ago and working now for Quebec city as an active transportation planner. I'm rather reserved person, easy going and respectful. Love dark and absurd humor and a bad habit for silly jokes. Outdoor enthusiast

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's very specific as I'm looking for a place to sleep in Reykjavik, between my trip to Horstandir reserve and to Laugavegur trail (28th to 29th june), and the last day before taking my flight back to Quebec (8th july). I didn't plan much time to stay in reykjavik and meet locals so that's one of the very few opportuny i'll have during my trip, exception made of meeting people on trail.

I did couchsurfing a few years ago and each time it was quite memorable experience in their own way. I think it's also a very cool way to get to met the locals and to get something unique about your trip rather than just renting some place. So 'im looking for someone preferably with who I can hang out a bit for the evening (not necessary though) before leaving the next day

Interests

3 words : outdoor, nature, sport :)
Mainly through backpacking, lately through bikepacking too

I'm not just all about that though. Love history, visual arts, architecture and city design, street or fancy food, IPA liquors etc .. I'm willing to try new things especially if it's something a bit unique and interesting : festival, traditions etc..

Like chess and board / card games also !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did 45 days of backpacking in western canada and US a few years ago. During wonderland trail I faced a brown bear right on the trail
Sliding all the way down mount Saint Helen on my butt
Off trail and bushwacking for a few days in Jacque Cartier parc with my friends the black flies and spruces

If everything goes well I will come back from a week long trail in Hornstrandir reserve :)
