Hi! I'm Lauren. I grew up in the suburbs of NY. I spent much of my childhood camping along the East Coast of the US playing in lakes, rivers, and the woods. That's where my love of nature and freedom originated. After going to school and beginning my career, I began to feel the monotony of life weighing on my shoulders. I left home to take a solo road trip around the US. When I returned, I began planning my next trip and then the next and then the next, unable to stop this beautiful, mysterious, strange yet, eye opening and exhilarating experience known as travel.

I am passionate about travel. I love learning about new cultures, meeting new people, trying new foods, doing any and all adrenaline based adventure activities, communing with nature, and seeking spiritual experiences that awaken my mind to new possibilities. I also enjoy photography, music, art, reading books, watching films, riding my bike, hiking, hanging with animals, and trying to cook.

I tend to listen to 90's Alternative Rock and Classic Rock the most. However, I am a huge fan of many different genres of music... Reggae, Jazz, Classical, Blues, World, Punk, Indie, etc ...love it all.

I watch a lot of travel documentaries. My favorite movies are Forrest Gump and The Shining. I am an avid reader, consuming books like food. Subjects vary widely.

Working with the special needs population has taught me extreme humility. It has altered my perception on the way I view the world, the people in it, and the way in which I choose to live my day to day life. I am constantly reminded of how grateful I am to be alive on this beautiful planet and to be able to connect with all of the beautiful people on it.
