ABOUT ME

I grew up and went to school in Boston/Cambridge, but then moved to San Francisco after graduation. I'm in the process of settling in, making new friends, discovering all the things I'm free to do now that I'm no longer a student.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wanted to couchsurf in Mumbai but it fell through. so now I'm up for meeting people in SF! I'm still finding my way around and checking stuff out so it would be cool to have an exploring buddy, even for just a day.

兴趣

food: I cooked throughout college and it consisted of lots of garlicky spicy chicken dishes. In SF, I want to check out all the different farmers markets and farms and local grocery stores for fresh and/or inexpensive food. I'm trying to cook almost all my meals if I can and test out new recipes or come up with my own version of dishes.

sewing: my grandmother worked as a seamstress when she first came to America and taught me how to use her old industrial sewing machine. I have a smaller portable one now and my goal is to set it up, figure out how it works, and start making stuff. Quilts, pillows, bags, etc.

science! I do science as a 9 to 5 job, but I like it enough to read and talk about it outside of work too. In my free time, I'm trying to read up on materials science and physics, learn more programming, go on drives out to interesting geological outcrops.

people watching: I love big cities and busy streets and I try to get to know the personalities of all the different cities and neighborhoods I visit.
