ABOUT ME
Lived in England when I was small. Came back to Israel. Late teens spent in New Zealand (woot!), where I found that I love math. But, I'm also mildly funny. Play a bit of sax, piano, and had 4 lessons on violin. I've "acted" in a friends' skit show, here's prime example (I hope it's not too offensive for you; I play the kid):

I pretty much constantly listen to music. I get mini-obsessions to pieces and listen to them fanatically for around a week's time.
When I was young, everyone including me watched MTV a lot, and what we listened to was dictated by the screen: spears, spice, backstreet, etc.
In high school I started listening to soft rock of the time: oasis, travis, steoreophonics, inme.
Then, when I was 18, I remember it like yesterday, I was waiting for a friend in a shopping mall, he txt'ed me that he'll be late. So, I walked into the music store. They had a sale on a compilation: Led Zeppelin - Remasters. I have heard "stairway to heaven" on the radio before, thought it was pretty good, so I bought it. That day my life changed. I loved Led Zeppelin. I downloaded their whole discography, but then I also download pink floyd, beatles, cream, jimi hendrix, miles davis, duke ellington, cannonball adderley, etc etc. Now that the door was open, I was influenced by many friends. Listened to opeth, porcupine tree, blind guardian, etc etc.
A couple of years later, I started a new job. The people there listened to something else. Classical music. I thought it was no music at all. It was boring. But since I was mr. open-minded, I went to a concert with them - Chopin piano concerto no. 1. That day my life changed, once again. It was so beautiful. Even though I fell asleep at some point, the impression had been made, and I was converted. Today I listen to any of Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Franck, Saint-Saens, Schumann, Schubert, etc etc etc etc.
As for movies, the same as above: young->holywood, teens->"finer" holywood, now->everything from the latest holywood chick flick and action movies to Bergman. I love Bergman. Watching them one by one, but many times.
I also love to dance. When I was young there was a salsa craze in Israel, and I was no exception.
Now I mostly dance swing. I dance a lot of swing. In this category it is mostly lindy hop and charleston for me, but also some balboa.
And blues!
One last thing: I watch a lot of tv. Sure, on my computer, but I still call it tv. And I am not ashamed to say a lot. There are some very good shows around, and even some less good but still ok. Currently following: curb your enthusiasm, breaking bad, always sunny, dexter.
