ABOUT ME

There isn't a single place on the planet I DON'T want to see...I want to see the world for myself --- and so i can tell all the people with absurd notions of places they've never been how full of crap they are. ;)
Wish I could spend my life playing and watching sports, traveling (partly for sporting purposes), and drinking beer before, during and after watching and participating in sports. Simple life I suppose - with smatterings of culture, mostly derived from the places I've seen and people I've met. The development of self has only been achieved through self-reflection and meditation -- and there's TONS of time for that on long flights and train rides ;)

PHILOSOPHY

This above all to thine ownself be true. And, it must follow, as the night, the day... thou canst not then be false to any man. I totally made that up. and then tattooed it on my back.... (tattoo part is accurate anyway)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host so far -- we'll see what's next. I want to meet people, but when I travel - I tend to spoil myself. This way I get to meet peeps from everywhere without worrying about someone's old couch springs stabbing my back!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met several cool people through friends while they hosted Surfers... that's what prompted me to sign up!

Sports, Beer, Travel, jumping off stuff, whiskey, wasting money, gambling, meeting people, reading historical fiction and other crap that makes me laugh/cry/think, driving places on a whim, moving places on just slightly less of a whim....

Jumped off the Zambeze River bridge (between Zambia and Zimbabwe) at the foot of Victoria Falls. Pretty sick.
That and serving the US Marines pretty much top the charts....
