Interests
I grew up on Cape Breton Island but I now call Toronto home. My favourite thing about Toronto is not the current mayor - but riding my bike to get around the city is! That and the cultural diversity and the craft beer. When not doing outreach with drug users who are pregnant/parenting and who want to make a change in the way that they use drugs (whether it be safer use, reducing or abstaining), I enjoy print making in a high school basement. My last name means printer in German/Yiddish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most incredulously stupid things i have done in my life was jumping off a moving train in India with a pack full of toys/video camera, tripod, etc. I ended up face planting on the platform of the train, broke my glasses and my teeth were not broken, but sore and bleeding. I was promptly taken to the village's dentist, with whom I ended up staying for 2 weeks, and became known as "the woman who jumped off the train". When I left the village, most people advised me not to jump off any more trains. Another amazing thing was witnessing homeless drug users voting for the first time in their lives. It was amazing to hear their excitement about getting involved in the political process.
