About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting where I'm going.

ABOUT ME

I'm a wildlife biologist originally from New England. I've been living and working throughout the West for a few years now, basing out of Tucson AZ. Currently working in Tahoe but about to embark on a Pacific NW road trip!

PHILOSOPHY

Choose your own adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Lots of surfing right now. Hosting when the floor/couch space is adequate!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got the travel bug in college and CS has made my travels way more interesting! Several cross-country road trips have included lots of excellent hosts and accidental adventures! Hosting is usually difficult for me because I often live in crowded communal housing, but as soon as I have a spacious place, the couch will be open!

Interests

Anything outdoors. Backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, sea-kayaking, trail running, mountaineering. I also like the nerdy stuff: birdwatching, geology, identifying wildflowers, tracking, etc

Music, cooking, reading, art, knitting, agriculture.

When I'm in cities, I like local breweries, live music, thrift stores, cafes, good food, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie rock, folk, bluegrass, etc

I read a lot. Lately it's been Edward Abbey, Gary Snyder, Barry Lopez, & Kurt Vonnegut.

I don't watch TV or movies often anymore, but I know how to recognize and appreciate the good stuff. Werner Herzog, Wes Anderson, David Lynch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a couple summers in the Arctic Circle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you all about birds, plants, and mountains.

You can tell me about your passions.

We can share good food, good drink, and good stories.
