Help travelers get a more local experience and live vicariously through their stories! I don't travel as much as I used to and it is so fun to meet other likeminded people.

ABOUT ME

I do biology research at MIT, studying how bacteria fend off viruses that are trying to attack them (fun fact: this happens in our gut microbiome but barely anyone studies it, so that's what I'm doing!). Outside of that, I love cooking, meeting different people, and keeping life interesting by finding little adventures here and there. I haven't hosted much in recent years because I was living in a shared house. But I recently moved to Boston and got my own two-bedroom apartment (!!) near the city (!!!!) and have the second room available for friends, family, and the occasional weary traveler.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

After graduating from college, I left the U.S. and went on a fifteen month trip around the world. It was definitely crazy, exciting, exhausting, inspiring, thought-provoking, and more - but what I remember most are the people. There were such great people in every country that would help me in tight spots, host me, or even just invite me over for tea... without expecting anything in return. So now I just want to pay it forward by hosting people and helping them make their travel experience better.

That said, I won't host people that send non-personalized messages. Doesn't even have to be long, just a little sign that you aren't copy-pasting means a lot!
