ABOUT ME

I have a job in government that I really enjoy and I'm starting to eye destinations for some overseas trips.
I enjoy meeting people from other countries and learning about their cultures and the way they see the world. I'm an ardent non-smoker.

PHILOSOPHY

Here are a few of the things I've concluded about life so far that probably reflect the sort of person I am or at least, the way I see the world:

* Sometimes good people do bad things

* Things are seldom as simple as right or wrong, black or white, because people are quite complicated and most apparently simple problems are complicated when you get into them

* Life is really about the attitude you take to it, you can make excuses about why something didn't happen for you, or you can make it happen, but...

* Not everyone can pull themselves up by their bootstraps, sometimes things do happen to people that are outside their control, though again the attitude you take to these things is important

* There is nothing more depressing in this world than knowing that you have great potential and that you're not living up to it
