ABOUT ME

I'm 36 and still trying to ignore the calls to settle. I love to go out and also love my work. After stints in South America, Turkey, South Africa, and Korea, I recently moved to Melaka, Malaysia, and I'll be here for 1 more year.

I am a bit reserved at first, but I just like to assess the surroundings before I jump in. But when I do jump in, you have a sick dancer and a karaoke madman who will hang with you as long as you can stand. I'm an actor/artist (just picked up guitar and can play some chords) at heart, and I love meeting travelers to exchange the stories with. The greatest thing about traveling for me is that I find myself befriending all sorts of people I would have never given a chance to. I've found some of my best advice and closest friends that way.

PHILOSOPHY

Wow. "The philosophy of me": Don't get "black out" drunk. Drugs and borders don't mix. Listen more than you speak. Respect others. Always remain a student. Be easy on yourself. Exercise more than you smoke! And assuredly I've been a walking hypocrite of a few of these mantras (never the 'drugs and borders' though!)...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met tons of CSers traveling and I really want to get involved. I know I don't have many friends or reviews on here, but since moving to Melaka, I've hosted a bit and I love to be the tour guide!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mainly the coolest travelers I've met...When I ask, "Are you on Couchsurfing?" the answer always seems to be, "Yeah, you?". I've hosted for the first few times this year and it's been really positive.

兴趣

Acting, singing, meeting new people, dancing to hip hop...I think I have a latino soul, but you'd never know it by looking at me. I love to read but don't read enough. I love to play sports and I'm crushing the badminton right now! Anything Brazilian. Love Brazil. And Cambodia as you can see from my yoga photo up there.

Love music, hip hop, chill, reggae, beach music, salsa, brazilian beats, dancing music that I can sing to. Still love to wail some Bon Jovi and Pearl Jam...anyday. Don't read enough books...it's a shame...love to read, and the last great books I read were, "A Fortune Teller Told Me", "Bright Lights, Big City", "8 Weeks to Optimum Health", and "Cultural Politics of English as and International Language" (for my MA).
