ABOUT ME

I live in Phoenix, Arizona and am originally from Banja Luka, Bosnia. I am currently a professor teaching Composition.

I love the outdoors and often feel the most free when I am surrounded by nature. I love hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming and exploring new places. I also like to go out, listen to live music, salsa dancing, dancing of any sorts and meeting new people.

I love having in depth conversations about life and beliefs. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories and experiences. I think the best way to grow spiritually is by meeting others and allowing their experiences to give you different outlook on life.

PHILOSOPHY

There is so much beauty in the world and it is insanity to not go out and experience it.
There are so many beautiful people in the world that will enlighten you and teach you something about yourself and I don't want to miss any of it.

I ran across CS while planning a trip through Europe with my sister. I though this is such an amazing community of people who love having new experiences and meeting new people. I am on CS to meet new people while I am exploring. I am hoping to gain a new perspective on life through the people and places I meet.

I am very open about music. I love all music. To me its all about listening to something and finding a connection to it.
I really enjoy reggae, rock, indie, classical, and pop.

I am an avid reader too, so to name a favorite book is a challenge. I really enjoy American Gothic, African American Literature, Holocaust Literature, Poetry, and inspirational literature.
Some of my top authors include Henry David Thoreau, Mary Shelly, Margaret Atwood, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edgar Allen Poe, Shirley Jackson, and Charlotte Perkins Gilman. I really enjoy anything that Elizabeth Gilbert writes including Eat, Pray, Love and The Signature of All Things.
Some of my top books are Walden, Civil Disobedience, Crime & Punishment, The Giver, The Invention of Wings, and Eat Pray Love.

I usually like to read a book and then pass it forward to someone else. I like to encourage that person to do the same.
Reading a book is like traveling to new places, different times and experiences without all the costs. :)

I don't know it this is particularly amazing but I did do a 180 nautical mile kayaking expedition through Alaska's Prince Williams Sound.

I can share stories and experiences. I can cook a pretty decent meal. I can listen and learn from you and your experiences. I can recommend great craft beers, wine, books. I can write you a poem or help you with a writing project.
