ABOUT ME

Hello. I've spent my last few years living in Vancouver, going to grad school and traveling when I could.... it was a good life, but I've now had to face reality and get a real job. I'm pretty good at shirking responsibility and am hoping that doesn't end with my introduction into the working world. I work as an environmental consultant working with First Nations (aboriginal groups) to build socially and environmentally sound economic development projects in their communities. I never envisioned working for an NGO, but I guess I found one that balances social and environmental equity and allows me to live in my favorite city..... for 6-8 months of the year, anyways.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I have had a couch surfing profile for ages and have never really done much with it. I have couch surfed before, while traveling, but haven't really got that involved with it yet despite loving the idea.

I have been thinking a lot lately about becoming a bit more involved in the CS community here in Van and so updating my profile is step 1.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I've done far more hosting than surfing but both have allowed me to meet new, interesting, and generally awesome people from around the globe.

Interests
