ABOUT ME

Fun, Outgoing, Class clown, Artistic, Caring, Kind hearted, Protective, Free spirit. I care about others more than myself. I would never be a surfer that anyone would have to have the slightest reservation about. I love all and would give anyone the shirt from my back. I hope to have positive experiences and learn from others so that one day I too can give back to the couch surfing community.

PHILOSOPHY

I live each day trying my best to treat every person I encounter the same way I expect to be treated. I try my best to pay it forward every waking moment. I do everything I can to make a conscious effort to not judge anyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I want to learn from others. Experience other people's cultures. I love meeting new people. I am extremely intrigued by the prospect to continue to grow as a person through my own adventures, but also through the adventures, advice, and stories of others.

I've never "couchsurfed" per se. I have airbnb'd. Myself and 2 close friends decided it was time for us to burst from our shells and do some soul searching/exploring. We stuffed my car to the rim with whatever we needed and took off from South Alabama on a Friday afternoon, drove straight to D.C., spent all Saturday exploring D.C., drove to NJ at night where I had us a room share booked through airbnb, stayed the night, got up drove into NYC, checked into another room I had us booked in Harlem through airbnb, explored NYC for the next 2 and a half days, packed up, drove to Boston, checked in at another apartment I had rented through airbnb, explored Boston for the evening and the next day, packed up, drove to Salem, explored that town, and then got back in the car and made the non stop 21 hour drive back home. It was the experience of my life time. The people that allowed us to stay with them on our frugal journey were great. Very accommodating. I love it. We were VERY respectful of their places and extremely grateful. I'm eager to experience more.

This field is what I am all about. I'm not just looking for a place to rest my head. I'm looking to meet people and learn from them and hopefully, in turn, share something with them. I have grown up in south Alabama my whole life. I'm sure there is much of that culture that can be shared with others. Maybe even change a few perceptions along the way. I've worked a field and tended to animals, but I don't wear boots, a ball cap, and chew on straw. In fact, I don't have a strong southern accent. I think there is a lot to teach people about the southern culture. I'm actually very articulate, well spoken, and write screenplays and novels in my spare time. I have a diverse set of skills to be shared.
