About Me
-info about Nicaragua-
León → Managua – C$78
Managua → Granada – C$37
Granada → Rivas – C$50 (foreigners are often charged C$100, including a so-called “backpack fee” 🙄).
Real Conductor collects the money halfway through the ride, ignore those guy in the bus station trying to collect the ‘backpack fee’ money only from foreigers. Sit with the locals and follow what they do.
Prepare small change in advance.
Added a few Granada tips in the album — hope it helps 🌿
—————1. About me——
world trip year 5. Started as 15 days round ticket thought just Machu Picchu then I would back to my corporate job.
it end up I gave up my return ticket , and travel - living in Latin America for 5 years so far including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. (Ins: ola.Lin)
I’m amazed and observing how ppl live elsewhere, and what I could learn, what I should avoid. The world like a book, through the travel I feels like got some of humanity back which I used to trade for ‘better life ‘.
👉This is NOT Tinder, serve very different purp, at least for me.(read 2 times b4 message/decide host me). I value connections, NOT transactions. I hate wasting time on this.
—————2. For when I as host: —————
Write message before send request. Include active social account (FB or IG) tells who you are, especially if you don’t have many references. Only hosting people I can get a basic feel for.
Make sure you read my home rules before send request.
Lately I’m not in the best mood to host. If I’m not reply, that’s means I’m not available. (if you are weird or interesting enough )
Have a good trip.
**** 🌟I’ve got an old sewing machine and no idea how to use it, if you into sewing & fixing & creating, & like to explore this with me, that’s a big plus!
—————3. When as traveler why I send you the request
I love Couchsurfing because it lets me stay with open-hearted locals, building a deeper connection with the places I visit and experiencing a different pace of life.
I’m more than happy to spend time with you over the little things in life, but I’m also comfortable exploring on my own.
And by the way, ‘doing nothing’ is part of my trip! So don’t be surprised if you find me just chilling now and then.
I buy extra groceries as my way of showing gratitude for sharing your time and space with me. That said, I’ll cover your food but only cook for myself — cooking for others quite stressful for me.
consider if this works for you bfore accepting my request.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy traveling but after awhile, I realized that I was only simply going to a different location but still being in my own bubble, I hope I could actually experience others' life through Couchsurfing. I get to hear their stories, get to know people's lifestyle, learn an alternative way of living.
